“If you were gay, I’d go out with you.”
It bothers me when gay guys say that to straight guys. It doesn’t help ease the minds of breeders (it’s what we call you at the meetings) who think queers are trying to turn them. I’m sure it makes them uncomfortable hearing “If you were gay, I’d go out with you.”
But damn, gay people are clever ‘cause it can totally be played off as a compliment. Hell, it can even be intended as a compliment. But it’s not.
It’s a hit-on.
What d’you expect that hetero to say to that? “Gee golly, what a really sweet thing to say. So sweet, in fact, that i may disregard my heterosexuality in order to fulfill your selfish and disrespectful fantasies.”
Stop fucking with straight guys. Stop trying to fuck with their minds, making them question their sexuality, causing them to spiral down into a mental abyss of confusion, depression, and self-hatred.
