Our guitarist has been flaking on practices lately and it’s really pissing me off. He dodges our phone calls and texts, and his reasons for doing so are lame. I wish we new more guitar players ‘cause we’re strongly considering replacing him.

Despite his absence, however, we managed to be really productive tonight. We got through two new songs and they came out REALLY great even without guitar. Actually, they may’ve come out really great BECAUSE our guitarist wasn’t there. 

Seriously, we need a new guitar player. 

I have bp (band practice) almost everyday which is a good thing, but it gets tiring. Some days, they go great and we’re jamming and everyone’s doing a great job and contributing interesting ideas. Other days, i dread being there. That usually happens when a member can’t show up (flakes) or i’m mentally fatigued from being at school all day. 

Tonight was a good practice. Everyone was there (minus the producer) but we were able to teach our new guitarist a song and we got through it. It actually sounded like a song!

I’m pretty pleased with how bp is going. When we can get everyone together, things tend to go smoothly. At this rate, we should have something solidly recorded soon.
