So this is how this blog works. If i like it or think it looks cute or cool, i'm going to post it. I don't take credit for any of the things i post unless tagged with my url (so mostly text posts).
And here's a little about me. I love video games (if you couldn't tell already) so my posts may often reflect that.
I love music. I'm an aspiring pianist from LA. I have some audio recordings of my piano playing so click on the link down there if you want to check 'em out (which you should).

Songwriters
I like the turn that pop is taking. Before, it was all about the look and body, not so much the talent.
Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, etc. They’re great pop stars. But they’re not really songwriters. That’s what made ‘em great pop stars back then.
But now the songwriters are coming out of the pop stars’ shadows.
Ke$ha, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars.
They all wrote songs for people before they were famous. They probably didn’t make it big back then ‘cause they didn’t have “the look.” But aesthetic beauty is starting to fade.
Lady Gaga isn’t the beauty you’re used to seeing. Neither is Ke$ha or Bruno. But that doesn’t matter anymore because they write and sing their own songs; less work for the record label to do.
Being a songwriter is a major boost nowadays. That’s what people’re looking for now. Not some hot guy who can kind of sing. But some somewhat attractive dude who writes and sing and can save/earn you a lot of money.
It’s still corrupted as fuck. But at least the songwriters are finally put in the spotlight because they deserve it more than a mindless pop star.
